Arrakis Heads to the First MetaDEX

Arrakis is live on Velodrome. 

As the first “MetaDEX” solution, Velodrome broke new ground when it adopted a veToken liquidity incentive mechanism to attract LPs. Velodrome is Optimism’s largest L2-native DeFi solution and its novel design has inspired other solutions like Aerodrome. Velodrome has succeeded because it offers LPs capital efficiency benefits that they do not get with other solutions. Most notably, LPs can concentrate their liquidity and earn veVELO tokens on Velodrome. 

Arrakis Pro has deployed a module on Velodrome to help token issuers deploy pools and manage their onchain liquidity in the most efficient manner. Our team specializes in concentrated liquidity and we’ll leverage the feature to drive better outcomes for token issuers on Velodrome. 

When a token issuer deploys liquidity into our Velodrome module, the module will accrue claimable VELO emissions. After we claim the rewards, the token issuer will be able to lock the tokens to receive veVELO. They can use the veVELO to vote on emission distributions and earn trading fees.
